TWO MORE DEERS AT PARKLAWN CEMETERY
On September 12, 2012, Great-Auntie Maureen and myself went to Parklawn Cemetery to visit our Mom and Dad and to place some mums that she had grown in the container beside the headstone. After giving them, our Nana & Granddad Kennedy and Auntie Nancy our love we decided not to linger as it was dark. As Great-Auntie Maureen was about to entre the roadway out, she stopped quickly to see a yearling deer to the left of her car about 3-5 feet away. It was looking directly at Great-Auntie Maureen for what seemed like an eternity but only minutes. Of course silly Grandma was talking to it with baby gestures. It eventually trotted across the road and onto the embankment and to our surprise we saw another deer in the headlights. I immediately said it was a sign of our baby Faith and Mom together but Great-Auntie Maureen said Mom and Dad. Seeing the two deers was reminicent of the two deers your Dad spotted at Meadowvale Cemetery where you are resting little one, and where we were all gathered on the first anniversary of your and Great-Grandma's passing. The irony is that Great-Auntie Maureen was driving around the bend and missed seeing them but because of that your Dad looked in that same direction as she was coming and saw the deers dart from the bush and across the lawns. There was a large one and a yearling. Again, we are given little signs that you are all still watching over us. I had silently prayed for a sign prior to our encounter and felt so blessed that it was answered in the only way it could have been. My thoughts and prayers are always of and for you Faithie, Great-Grandma and Great-Don Don, second cousin baby Daniel and our whole family and that includes your Great-Uncle Azeez in Heaven with you and his family. May God and Jesus watch over you all as you watch over us. I (we) love and miss you just as strongly now as we did almost 5 years ago. That never diminishes; it just gets longer without you. Eternal love and gratitude from your Grandma. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
