I have many fond memories from our school days together: Like, sleeping over in the basement, watching Star Trek after school, playing guitar (with Peter playing the drums of course) & helping Peter put up election signs for a campaign his dad was working on. I also remembered Peter's Dad's cars like the Buick Skylark that I looked forward to seeing every time I went over to the house.Peter was a really great friend and I looked up to him back in those days of growing up in Scarborough. My sincere condolances to peter's family and friends. I was just looking up Peter on line and was shocked to see this is the Peter Weed that I went to High School with. I lived on Martindale & Rockwood...Peter and I would walk to school together and played hockey for R.H King...also coached the girls hockey team.

I had not heard from Peter in quite some time...we did chat after the Conservitive campaign....Peter mentioned he could tell me how many times a day Brian changed his shirt.

I'm very sad to hear Peter has passed on...he was a great guy and a good friend.
God Bless you Peter

I am very grateful for having known well what a special man you were Peter. It was always interesting to chat with you, you had a very fertile mind that was imbued with many interesting thoughts. You loved life to the fullest. I fervently believe that you squezed in as much as you could and that you left a wonderful legacy for all that encountered you. You were a man that struggled considerably to see the truth from your perspective and were not swayed by popular opinion.

In short you were a man's man who I cherish our time together. May God bless your entire family.

A brilliant and humble man, who foremost was a humanitarian, who welcomed all he encountered into the never ending warmth of his soul. "Paw" as he was affectionaltely known was a very moral individual, who did what he felt was right.

It was a privilege to know this infinitely interesting man, whose depth of knowledge and sage advice were pragmatic and given from the heart. I feel blessed for his endearing friendship, and I mourn for him as a brother. This principled and jovial man, has left us all a rich legacy filled with warmth and inspiration.
I am very priviliged to know this brilliant man.
He's looking down on us, hoping he taught us some valuable lessons and that we implement them and carry on with gusto.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's keeping time on his cymbals, and while he's not too busy , conducting some refugee hearings and open houses. Knowing Peter he's probably got a set of keys to the "Pearly Gates."

A giant among men. God bless.

Delia, I was so saddened and shocked to hear of the loss of Peter, I had often wondered and thought of you in the past but this was not the way that I had wanted to get in touch. You and the kids are in my thoughts and prayers.
Please when you are ready, e.mail me with your phone number and I will give you a call.
Till then take care of yourself, stay strong and remember that Peter is watching over you all.
Love Pat xx

Peter was a close friend during my years at RH King CI (1970 - 1974). I was very fortunate to know him and will miss his fun email puzzles and jokes.

I was fortunate to work with Peter. I will remember his humour and his energy. He encouraged and motivated me with his words and by his example in our too brief time as colleagues. I am lucky to have met such a gracious and thoughtful man.

Member Peter Weed was a wonderful person to have as part of the Immigration and Refugee Board. Peter was always gracious and kind in his dealings with all staff regardless of their position within the IRB.
He will truly be missed. There is great sadness at the IRB with this huge loss.
My condolences.
