FAITH'S 3rd BIRTHDAY
On a cool, partly cloudy, intermittent sunny/rainy Sat. afternoon, May 16/09, Mommy, Daddy, Brogan, Baby Lylah, Great-Aunite Maureen, Papa, Lee-Ann, Hannah, Mya, Fiona, Steve and myself gathered at our Angel's resting place to celebrate Faithie's 3rd Birthday. I arrived first with Great-Auntie Mau on my heels, so we proceeded up the hill to sing Happy 3rd Birthday & my Three Year's Old song, recited The Lord's Prayer and to lay flowers from her and the usual b/d card, Princess Dora Doll and potted flowers from me. Papa came a short time after and while we waited we spoke about Princess Angel Faith and how we all love and miss you beyond what words can explain. Then Mommy, Daddy, Brogan and baby sister Lylah came to wish you all their love, followed by Lee-Ann & Family and Steve who will be Lylah's Godfather later this year. Grandma read another poem that was given to Mommy to remember this day then we all sang Happy 3rd Birthday to you and my usual Kindergarten song (again). I also read excerpts from The Bible when Baby Jesus was born and then from Revelations when we will all meet again in Heaven. Brogan, Hannah and Mya laid their painted/handcrafted crosses infront of your headstone sweetheart and Mommy & Daddy kissed the picture of you on your headstone and had their private moments with you. Mommy and Brogan placed cupcakes infront of your headstone so you can see from Heaven that you'll always be celebrated and that your little friends (perhaps the deer we saw in Jan.) will join in YOUR SPECIAL DAY. Your baby sister was awake in her stroller and very curious. I know your big brother was very sad until he saw Papa who always seems to make him very happy. I record this story so your family can always treasure all these memories to be read especially by your brother as time will diminish his and for your little sister to know of her big sister Angel Faith. Daddy, Mau, Steve and I stayed behind after everyone went to their cars as it was raining. My heart breaks so much to see my son, your Daddy, talking/loving/missing you sooo much that my tears cannot be contained. I try to make everyone laugh at the Rev but it's just a coverup for my own pain, sorrow and healing. We will always cherish every fragment of your precious little life with us. I babysat your baby sister, Lylah, for the first time on Sat., May 30/09. I had flashbacks of looking after you Faithie, reminded by your baby picture around 3 mos. on the shelf. Faithie, your sister looks very much like you, but you already know that angel. I put Lylah against the sofa cushions, talking to her. She's very nosey. I told her that big sister Faith is watching over her now and always and Lylah gave me one big smile as if she saw you doing your usual belly laugh over my shoulder. Thank you Faith for your gift of Lylah and the love that you bestowed upon all who were so blessed to have been able to love you back. My FAITH and love goes on eternally.
